TwitchReacterino is a browser extension that lets viewers add emote reactions to individual Twitch chat messages and see reactions left by others.

How reactions work

A reaction is a public action inside a public chat room. When you choose to place one, it is relayed through our server to the other viewers of that same channel, so that everyone sees the same reactions under the same message. A reaction carries your public Twitch handle and public avatar — the same details the chat already shows next to your messages — plus the channel, the message it belongs to, and the emote you picked.

Nothing is sent while you are just watching or browsing. Only the act of adding or removing a reaction sends anything at all.

Reactions are held only as long as they are useful and are deleted automatically after roughly two hours of inactivity. Nothing is retained afterwards and no history or profile is kept.

Your own settings and recently used emotes stay in your browser and are never sent anywhere.

What we do not do

• No analytics, telemetry or behavioural tracking of any kind — no logging of clicks, keystrokes, mouse movement, scrolling or network activity.
• No reading or storing of chat message contents, page content or browsing history.
• No names, addresses, email addresses, age, identity documents, passwords or payment details.
• Nothing is sold or shared with third parties, used for advertising, or used for anything outside showing reactions in chat.

Third-party services

Emote images are loaded from the public APIs of 7TV, BetterTTV and FrankerFaceZ, and the channel's numeric ID is resolved via Twitch's public API. These requests are subject to those services' own policies.
